Kanwaljit Singh, his counsel and former Advocate-General of Punjab H S Mattewal and a battery of lawyers.</span><br /><br /></div> </div><div class="section2"><div class="Normal"><br />The special court, after hearing the arguments on behalf of Badal and the counsel for Vigilance Bureau, Harbhajan Singh Sandhu, who pleaded for rejection of the bail plea, fixed the case for December 3.<br /><br />Upon this, however, the counsel for the Badals sought interim bail pending regular bail inter-alia arguing that the Badals have been cooperating all through in the case. The prosecution however objected to the interim bail plea, stating that when the decision on regular bail is pending, the court has no authority to grant interim bail. <br /><br />Meanwhile, the police resorted to lathi-charge at six places here to disperse the agitating Akali Dal workers outside the special court, which has been put under a heavy security ring. The special court was put under heavy security ring and over 200 policemen have been deployed in and around the court. <br /><br />The injured, included senior Akali leaders Ajit Singh Kohar and Ranjit Singh Talwandi. Jitender Singh Randhawa from Jaiton, a leader of the Akali Dal’s youth wing, has been seriously hurt in the head and was bleeding profusely.</div> </div>
